The House was founded by Antoine Rodet in 1875, then passed down to his son, Antonin who managed the business until his death in 1939. The Marquis de Jouennes, son-in-law of Antonin Rodet, took over direction until 1978, at which time he passed the torch to his own son-in-law, who managed the House until October 2003. In 2009, Boisset SA buys Antonin Rodet which enters into the “Family Greta Wines” (FGV).

Now the estate works closely with vineyards and growers to produce négociant wines from all over Burgundy, and owns it’s own estates: Château de Rully, the emblem of the village of Rully, Château de Mercey, 47 hectares in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune appellation, and Clos de Thorey, a 3 hectare estate in the northern most part of the village of Nuits-St-Georges.
