Wine Review & Notes
Chateau Moulin de Grenet is located at the highest point of the Lusac St. Emilion appellation in Bordeaux. The grapes are harvested at their prime maturity, then sorted and transferred to concrete vats. There is a cold soak / maceration for 3 days before the alcoholic fermentation starts. The total maceration lasts 18 days before the wine is drained and pressed. The majority of the wine was aged in thermo-regulated concrete tanks for 12-14 months in order to offer intense fruit flavor. A small percentage of the wine is aged in French oak. Chateau Moulin de Grenet is a blend of mostly Merlot with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon. Total production is about 2,500 cases.
